Priscilla's IBC Site
I am one of the lucky ones. I was diagnosed within a month of my symptoms erupting. I was lucky to have only been misdiagnosed by two doctors before I found someone familiar with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I can move on.
On December 17, 2006 I read an obituary of a woman who was not as lucky as I. She was a 47-year-old mother of two young children. She succumbed to IBC within a few weeks of being diagnosed. She had been misdiagnosed like I had but probably for much longer. She is the reason for this Web site. She cannot have died in vain. She is my catalyst to get moving to get information out to other women.
I hope to use this site as a tool to educate women and to use it as a place for other women with IBC to find a network to get comfort and to give comfort.
